Our Top Chocolate Cocktails for National Chocolate Week!

Calling all chocolate lovers, this is not a drill! Beginning on the third Monday of October there’s a full week (that’s right a week) dedicated to all things chocolate!

Wash down your favourite chocolate bar or dessert with one of our top chocolate cocktails and celebrate National Chocolate Week in style! From honeycomb syrup, to chocolate bitters and delicious cacao liqueurs, there’s something for everyone with a sweet tooth!

Chocolate Negroni

The Chocolate Negroni was invented by Naren Young at Cafe Dante in the West Village.

Young’s Chocolate Negroni is a subtle affair, with the chocolate bitters and creme de cacao adding the drink’s confectionery twist and the bittersweetness of the wonderful Italian vermouth Punt E Mes helping to lift the Campari’s orange notes to an elevated position.

Chocolate Orange Fix

Is there any flavour more British than a classic chocolate orange? Whether it be the ubiquitous Terry’s Chocolate Orange or perhaps something a shade fancier, it’s certainly a favourite flavour of ours this Chocolate week at Kocktail HQ.

This original cocktail features a mix of Scotch Whisky and the french orange liqueur, Cointreau at its core.

Chocolate and Mint Espresso Martini

The Espresso Martini is arguably the most famous cocktail in the world and we think our Chocolate and Mint take on the classic more than lives up to the promise of the original.

The addition of the rich and dark cacao liqueur and just the mildest whisper of fresh and sweet mint really transforms the espresso based classic into a new beast!

Chocolate Toronto

The Toronto cocktail is a real connoisseur's choice.

Its base of whiskey is jolted to life with a good glug of the beguiling Fernet Branca and the sweetness of delicious chocolate liqueur, chocolate bitters and maple syrup.

Bourbon Crunchie

A rich and very boozy take on the old fashioned cocktail but with an underlying taste of a childhood favourite of ours, the Crunchie bar.

The cocktail invokes the humble honeycomb treat and made using Buffalo Trace Bourbon and a decent amount of Seignette Cognac at its core, the sweeter honeycomb syrup and fair-trade, Fair Cacao Liqueur are in good company.
