Summer Berry Buck
The Summer Berry Buck is an original drink created by our Kocktail curator, Neil Donachie, who was the senior bartender at the famous Savoy Hotel’s Beaufort Bar. The Buck is believed to have got its name when someone added a shot of whiskey to the previously non-alcoholic Horse’s Neck, which consisted of ginger ale with lemon juice. The added alcohol gave the horse a ‘kick’, hence a bucking horse!
The Summer Berry Buck is a summer twist on the classic ginger-based cocktail. We add crème de mure liqueur for a berry-like aroma which is enhanced by the sweetness of framboise liqueur and perfectly balanced with fresh, zesty lemon juice.
