Pisco and Peach
An original drink from our Kocktail curator, Neil Donachie, The Pisco and Peach is a twist on a Pisco Sour. The national drink of both Peru and Chile, both of which lay claim to the origins of the Pisco Sour and indeed the spirit it is made from!
For those of you unfamiliar with the ingredient, Pisco is a brandy produced in South America. It’s thought that the drink took its name from the Peruvian port town of Pisco where the spirit was made and stored in large, pointed ceramic vessels, also known as “Pisko”. The town was also possibly named after the large population of little birds or “Pisco” that inhabited the area.
The Pisco and Peach is a perfect blend of both sweet and sour featuring a splash of fresh zingy lime juice and some sweet peach liqueur to balance the drink perfectly.
