This original drink created by our Kocktail curator, Neil Donachie, is a combination of two classic Rum cocktails, the Honeybee and Brooklynite, created by Brandon Bramhall at the Nashville Tennessee outpost of NYC’s cult favourite spot, Attaboy in 2015. The bar has stood as a bastion for uncomplicated but extraordinary cocktails for the best part of a decade.
We can confirm that the Beehive is also an uncomplicated but extraordinary cocktail. It features a base of Jamaican Rum, and when it comes to Rum, Jamaica has strict standards for making high quality (if not the best) rum in the world. To this we add fresh lime juice, the sweetness of honey and the subtle-bitterness of Fernet Branca to create a well-rounded and perfectly balanced cocktail.
- 50ml Jamaican Rum
25ml fresh lime juice
- 20ml honey syrup
- 7.5ml fernet branca
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice
Add all ingredients and shake for 10 seconds
Strain into a coupé glass
Garnish with a wheel of lime
