- Made from 100% Agave - harvested Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico
- Slow cooked over 48 hours - leaving a subtle caramel note
- Double gold medal winning - CWSA
"The blanco tequila from Pueble Viejo has an aroma of green apple and citrus, with a hint of caramel from the slow cooking of the agave. This profile makes it ideal for drinks like a margarita, or even a fruity take on the classic such as a Spicy Flamingo"
Notes from Neil Donachie, Head Cocktail Curator
WHAT IS TEQUILA?
Tequila is a spirit made from the blue agave plant, and unlike mezcal, only the blue agave plant can be used to make tequila.
It is mainly distilled near the city of Tequila and in the Jaliscan Highlands of the Mexican state of Jalisco. The area boasts red volcanic soils which are perfect for growing the blue agave, which take 7 to 10 years before each plant reaches maturity.
Mexican laws state that tequila can only be produced in the state of Jalisco and a few other limited municipalities and is recognised as a designation of origin in more than 40 countries.
